MeCAF Memories

The business part of the cartoonist brain remembers conventions based on sales of books, the number of books flipped through compared to purchased, exciting new table displays and the right level of gregariousness while still avoiding the hard sell. 

These watercolor memories of the Maine Comics Arts Festival have nothing to do with any of that. But they are representative of the fun experienced by attendees and exhibitors out in Portland, Maine in May 22nd.

Duckfat is an excellent cafe that serves food fried in… Well, we can all assume safely it is not vegetarian.

And the one person we didn’t see at that beautiful Ocean Gateway:
